Just read it again today in the lastest issue of maximum pc...they had a PIII 1ghz review vs. Athlon 1ghz, the L2 cache seems to be the PIII's advantage....the athlons L2 runs at a mere 333mhz...while the piii's runs at full speed.....as for celerons...just wait for spitfire..if this chip is as good as it looks, later celeron. As for the power batter between Intel and Amd...my hopes are on the new Amd 760 and 770 chipsets(the 770 supporting dual processors), 200+ bus speeds coming out soon...I think at the end of this year..plus the "Thunderbird", and no I'm not talking about a Ford here.
