Wow, then you got a great deal as those Seagates are running around $160+

If you're running an Intel system you should consider upgrading to a motherboard with the 875P chipset. Those boards run SATA off the southbridge, unlike other boards that have SATA support off the PCI Bus (133MB transfer rate). The 875P will support the 150MB transfer rate that the SATA is "theoretically" supposed to support.
