Just some other tips for noise control: don't get a lite-on cd drive. When you use it, it makes more noise than most normal computers. Get a seagate barracuda hard drive; they're slightly quieter than most. Also, if you have a video card in the system, get a passive cooler. I have a big*** Zalman heatsink w/o a fan on my RAdeon 9700 PRO and it does the job w/ no noise at all.

As for for other fans, I recommend zalman or coolermaster products. Also, with fans, keep in mind that the bigger they are, the slower they can go to get decent CFM.
