What you need to do is buy a better heatsink fan. Thermaltake Volcanos are noisy, but they work great. They have adjustable speed and have a thermostat that goes in between the heatsink and processor to keep a constant or faster speed until the chip has cooled off enough.

I dont like all the noise so I found this new Aerocool Deep Impact liquid cool heatsink. Much more quiet and gives better results. With my Thermaltake I had to run the fan very fast sometimes almost full speed. Now this new heatsink fan can run much slower without all the noise. Shop around. See what other people say! :-)
