I received an error message that a ??.dll file could not be found and my win 98 se system locked up. When I rebooted manually I got an error message during scan disk that said something to the effect of a bad user.exe file. The system would only load in the safe mode. I decided to re-install win 98 and started the procedure. During the installation, I get the following "APPLICATION ERROR" message:
SUWIN caused a general protection fault in mode USER.EXE at 000B:0094.

I searched on the WIN Support page and did not find this message in the help system. There were other messages that looked similar but none mentioned user.exe.

The computer will not run, I cannot install win 98 and I am asking to see if anyone has suggestions on what to do?
