But why do you Cubs fans want that?
If the Cubs win, then they will be just another baseball team. All the magic will be lost. I don't care one bit about the Cubs, but I was watching the game last night to see how they would screw things up. Millions of people were probably doing the same thing. Their losing history is the hook. "Cubs haven't won since 1908" sounds much cooler than "Yeah, we had a good year last year and won the Series, now let's see what happens this year."
