How about a forum contest sponsored by PCMech? Did you guys ever do anything like this? The prize could be the PCMech CD and a wireless key (or something like that...a useful PC part). I think this would be a good way to spread goodwill. We need something to replace the Word Assoc thread. I really miss it.
For a forum contest, how about the one where someone posts a picture. And people mod it and/or add a dialogue to it. The most creative entry as chosen by the contest sponsor wins! The participants can link their entries from other hosts so that it doesn't eat PCMech's bandwidth and disk space. The picture entries wouldn't load in the thread. People would have to to click on the picture's link in order to see it. This will make it to be thread-friendly to those who have dialup connection.
