From what I have read the ATI cards would be the choice over nVidia.
BUT, AKAIC they all look terrible. Either a scan converter (external box) or best yet spending a little more on a monitor with either RGB, component, VGA or DVI inputs (the last is the best choice and eliminate the conversion process all together)!
