Any burning software except raw write (Clone CD) works with that drive - it came with Adaptec EZ CD Creator Standard 3.01 and Direct CD 2.0. That's probably the most compatible drive ever made - slow as snails but stable. I have the IDE version sitting here getting ready to put it into a parallel port box so I will have a portable burner. Note that the drive won't overburn - stick with standard 650 meg blanks and you will be fine. It does have issues with some older generic and offbrand blanks, but seems to work fine with any "modern" media.
