I would also suspect bus speed as you had asked about another problem a while back that also sounded bus speed related. Try dropping it down and see what happens.

One last point, took me forever to realize what it was, you don't happen to have a cell phone sitting near your computer do you? They will cause a consistent click in the speaker about every 10 minutes.
