I just assembled my new pc and finished installing the ethernet card for my "Sympatico High Speed Internet". Anyway, the problem is this:

The hardware and software are installed fine. I double and triple checked them over to make sure. I type in my Log/Pass and press connect, and evertime a error pops up after 30 seconds saying that the conection timed out. Now I know that the ethernet card is good because I used it in my last pc. And I know that it isn't my ISP because my roomate is able to connect with no problems.

Is it possible that the card got damaged during the transportation between pc's, and if so, how do I tell?

Any suggestions?
