Out of curiousity I set up a desktop fan to an open case on my p4 clocked to 3.29 at the time. At just the right angle it was 27 celcius according to asus probe. 32 according to bios. 29 according to my case lead. (Motherboard was 22 according to the probe)
Sadly with the cover back on its at around 34 idle according to the probe.
My computer is right near a central air vent. In the summer I'll set it up so the AC blasts the motherboard because I'm a giant nerd.
