Did anyone use that new e-file tax filing offered from the IRS? You can file your taxes online without having to submit any forms, but you have to go through a third party. Most of the third parties are like H&R Block, and charge a fee to do so. However, http://www.hdvest.com allows you to do it for free. (acctually, I think they trade their service for the use of your tax info for marketing purposes. that means free to me)

Well, I filled out my taxes, got to the point where it's to be submitte, and then it claimed I had an mistake somewhere in my return, but it's list of errors was empty. Anyone know have a similar result or know a what's wrong?

(I'm assuming that if you're reading this message, you're a computerphile. Also if you're reading this message, there's a fairly high chance that you're looking for free help yourself for some reason and/or build your own computer in order to get optimum performance for minimum money. That means you're probably a tightwad, just like me. And if you're a tightwad technophile, then you probably jumped at the chance to file your taxes online for free. So, I figure that there's a pretty good chance some of you know what I'm talking about.)
