thanks for all the tips, but i do my own taxes, so I don't need to pay for tax preperation. And i'm only getting a couple of grand back, so it's not worth it to me to pay money to e*file. (remember, I'm a tightwad)

Has no one tried hdvest? They're tech support is really starting to get on my nerves. They are flooding my email box with about 50 messages that simply say "do not reply to this message." My girlfriend tried to file hers with them this morning, and she got the same nonsensicle error message at the end. I'm beggining to suspect that they're just interested in getting the free marketing info.

I will say that the hdvest site provided me with a nice pdf file of the necessary tax filings. so if worse comes to worse, and i have to mail it in, i can just print up a copy, instead of sending in my usual messy handwritten ones.
