Well, first of all I thank you for your most kind offer, but I fear it will do me no good. I went into Future Shop today and had them test my mouse on a system to see if it was my computers USB, or if the mouse is crap. Well, it gives the same problem on any system. So, at least my computer isn't having major USB problems, but the mouse is most certainly dead.
Man, what a month for peripherals. My old mouse started making high pitch squeaking noises when it moves horizontally. My keyboard started sticking on the M key, and just yesterday the J died completely, so I had to replace it with an older, far less comfortable keyboard. And now my Explorer is confirmed dead. Oh well, that's what I get for paying the lowest possible price for crappy used hardware. I hope I've learned my lesson.
Now I get to go out on a buying binge, and spend all the money I saved on buying used stuff.
