I rechecked the dailup connection, followed the Help file, changed the line from the computer to the phone line, checked that they are connected properly and in the right place and everything appears to be correct.

I used Check It utilities and ran a test on the modem. The test results...

Base AT Commands-failed
ATV1-no response
Detect Dailtone-failed
Remote Test-couldn't initialize the modem
Is modem responding-yes

Another computer I have uses this same phone line with no problem.

Any suggestions? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
