Unhappy

Just built a new system for a friend. Its an AMD based one using MSI K7T-Turbo board and 1Gig Athlon (100Mhz kind). I put everything together, he wanted his old hard drive stuff so I cloned the drive onto and IBM 307030 and then booted into Windows in safe mode and removed everything. Turned the computer on and Windows detected all the new stuffs and installed the appropriated drivers. He had the hard drive on his old Toshiba with and Intel 810 (integrated video and sound). Well I used the MSI CD to install the VIA 4-in-1 drivers and then to install the VIA '97 sound drivers that came on the CD. Well everything seemed to install fine, but after reboot the little speaker icon did not show up in the menu and there was no sound, so I used Add New Hardware wizard and it found Sound Blaste Legacy device and so I installed the drivers for that and after reboot the little icon came up, but still no sound. I tried turning everything on in bios and that didn't help. I disabled the on board legacy in bios and when I boot into windows it still detects the VIA sound device and wants to install drivers for it. So this way I am not even able to use a PCI sound card, because there seems to be no way to disable the on board sound. I am about to call MSI and speak with them. If ANYONE has had anything like this happen, PLEASE POST HERE! I much appreciate any and all replys. Thanks! Leo.
