I tried a RAID 0 on my Asus A7N8X mobo with bios verison 1.3 using two 80 GB Maxtor drives. After about a week, it would lose data and corrupt the system. I had the two drives connected through the SATA ports using dongles. I had XP installed initially, but I had to reinstall on my other drive after it just quit booting. I've since removed the RAID and not had a lick of problem. Is it the RAID controller (Promise I think)? Is it the bios? Who knows? Unless you've done this before and found it works fine, I'd think about whether you really need it. I've found the best thing for gaming speed is to just rip an image of the game disk to your HD and load it through a cd emulator (no spin up time). But you probably already do that.
Just thought I'd share my experience.
