there is 10Gb/s runs on fiber and it is traditional ethernet.

OC-192 is 9.6Gb/s telco technology it runs a type of technology called SONET (synchronous optical network)

this is a "how much you got"($$) technology: the lines are extremely expensiv (usually the purview of telco backbone connections), the hardware is expensive (in the range of a couple of million)
