I see many posts that ask about the best PSUs, The best DVD R/W, best Mobo etc. I find these very helpful. I think these questions should be in it's own Forum so newbies like myself can just go and see what products the experts here have regarded as the best and I can consider in a new build without asking the same question over again. The infamous intel vs amd threads can even be placed there.

Archives has the PCMech Hall of Fame which sort of fits this idea, but I think it would be better served and more folks would be likely to contribute to it if it was it's own forum where it would be seen easier and not a discussion within a forum.
