THough your idea sounds closer t logic,, the reality is... you want to chhannel air through the pc...
a couple of things willcool it down you you cannot attach a front intake fan to your pc....
take off side door... this will let the room tep difuse all of the couped up hot air being generated by your computer...
if its inside a desk computer cubby wih a door.. take it out.... the older desks that let you "hide " your pc,, were not intended for ventilation... the olderpcs didnt really need it...
clean up the wires inside the pc... if its a mess in there, ventilation is difficult///
