Believe me, I very much prefer new versions released one after another to fix bugs. What's M$'s alternative? Release patches: (a) when the publicity becomes too bad to ignore, or (b) never. There is nothing wrong with constantly improving on software; it's the only way you can deal with complex software.
That article was well-written and to the point. Nobody should be using IE for anything other than Windows Update.
