That was almost exactly my point - the chart makes little sense to most people, so there is no "technical" advantage of one over the other. On another note, you might benefit from starting a new thread on this topic - there may be more help offered that way.
As for gaming, both Intel and AMD are good - gaming depends on the GPU, not the CPU - as long as the CPU is "sufficient", it's good for gaming.
