Favorite physics question:
You aim a gun horizontally at a monkey hanging from a tree. The moment the bullet leaves the barrel, the monkey lets go of the branch. Does the bullet hit the monkey and why/why not?
It is assumed that the monkey is with the range of the gun.
It is assumed that the bullet will either hit, or fly past (depending on your answer) the monkey before the monkey hits the ground
Bullet velocity, caliber of the gun, size of the monkey, etc are all irrelevant. ALL necessary information has been given to answer this.
