AMD is only supporting standard DDR because they would have to redesign the core of the A64 to work with DDR2. remember, the A64 has an on-die memory controller, so DDR2 will not work with whats out right now. AMD wont go DDR2 until early next year with nForce4 and the 90nm manufacturing process.
