If you don't want to go to the expense of cold cathode, there are other things you can do that will give you light inside your case. You can get cooling fans that have LED's in them that will illuminate your case. That is what I did. I have a blue one in the back to exhaust the hot air, and a red one mounted underneath my hard drive to cool it. It gets a neat affect. It's blue in the back, red in the front, and where they meet, it's purple.
You can check places like Anandtech and Xoxide for sure, and I'm pretty sure New-Egg.com would carry those as well. If you want to illuminate just parts of your case, they make an LED spotlight that you can use to illuminate certain things.
