Hi everyone,

I have an old pc that is an AMD K6/2. Motherboard is unknown. The problem I am having is when you click on IE6 you get an hour glass but then it goes away and IE6 never opens. This happens from the start/programs area as well. The computer had a virus called JS/Noclose but it was deleted by my new McAfee Virusscan. It also had four spyware programs that were deleted by the new software. I have tried to uninstall IE6 and switch to IE5.01 as I have heard that IE6 does not work well with windows98. When I tried to do this I get an error message stating that there is a update that is in progress and I need to shutdown the system and reboot before I can uninstall IE6. I reboot and I still get the same Error message when I try to uninstall. I am stumped...please help. Thanks.
