Making game backups are somewhat difficult. First of all you have to have software such as NERO and you have to have a burner that can read the "overburn". More than likely your CD burner (rather than your CDROM) will be able to read this, use your burner to read and write.
You need to create a CD image onto your HD and then copy the image (from your HD - this method prevent coasters) onto a highquality CDR (I use black CDR's). Another thing is MOD chips (for console games). Install one of these at your own risk, they have been known to screw game consoles up. Mod chips are required if you plan on playing burnt CDs on your console.
Note: If you are using these copies to sell them or make copies for your friends then it's illegal. If you are using these copies for backup (incase you step on one) then it's perfectly legal (although I'm sure Sony would beg to differ).
