PCMech Forums - View Single Post - Computer doesn't shutdown or restart right, Need Help!!

I just Built a 3.2Ghz HT P4 with 800FSB. it has 2 HD a 200 and 120. It also has a Geforce 5700 LE 256mb agp 8x video card. 768 ram of PC 2100. it has a VIA PM800-M2 Motherboard, with a 350 watt PS. it also has Win XP Pro. DVD burner and cd burner.
When ever I click shut down will go through the process like it normall would but when it gets to "windows shutting down" screen, it just powers off the hard drives every thing else stays on. Then when I restart it will get to "Windows restarting Screen" then it just won't do anything.Any suggestions on what I can do to fix the problem?

Also I have another question, the cd burner is set as the master and the DVD burner as slave, but the cd burner's drive letter is (f:\) after the DVD burner's (e:\). is there something wrong with that?
