100 is considerably faster, but not necessarily more expensive. I use Startech 10/100 cards (Realtek 8139 chipsets) as they are very inexpensive, easy to set up in all flavors of Windows and also automatically set up on my Linux box. Grab yourself a Linksys router to share your internet connection and tie all three machines together for network gaming fun
