I need help changing the source path for a file!

I was in the Windows98 welcome tour and clicked tour and got an error that said " directory.exe " could not be found...please insert cd or make sure network connection is still active!
Windows98 was installed from C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\AOL\ASC\NET\WIN98SE

I popped in the cd and nothing...same error.
no way to browse to another location
when installing a program an it ask for the 98 cd it always shows this location to get it from and I change it to the C:\WIN98 folder
how do I permanately change it to always piont in this direction?...Terry
