You may not want to spend any more money, but I agree, do yourself a favor and get a router. If you're at the point where you have more than one machine in your home, you'll soon find that a router is one of the coolest pieces of hardware that you can buy. You get you internet connection shared without having to have a "master" machine on all the time and as a side benefit, you are now hardware firewalled. It's probably about as bulletproof as you're going to get on a home network so you don't have to worry about hackers. They're easy to set up, and once running, just sits in the corner doing it's job. So spend the money, you'll be glad you did.
