I have the SOYO TechAid motherboard tester and it is OK, generaly I find that when a motherboard goes down it gives off many different codes because everything starts acting weired, and I wind up using the board tester to confirm what I was already thinking. It has helped me once or twice when I have been stumped but usually that was with a faulty power supply that was breaking down but working when cold.
