Besides 64 bit extensions you have an intergrated memory controller (Hyper Transport). The technical "bus" speed is much greater, though not really your traditional front side bus since it isn't located on the motherboard; its within the cpu itself. Huge gains in memory performance over older athlon XP chips because of this.
For 50 bucks it should prove a smart investment.
