Open the hosts file.

You will see only one entry there: 127.0.0.1 your localhost

Underneath that add: 209.68.45.231 216.239.39.99

Save.

If you try and access the IP on the right, it will redirect you to the IP on the left. In this case, you would try and access google.com and PCMech would show up.

This will give you an error:

127.0.0.1 216.239.39.99

Because you don't host google.com

I personally have only used urls/domains, but Byte says it works so its got to work. Are you running a router, because that is a whole another layer?
