The spacing you mentioned...that's hole to hole, right? Not edge to edge. If it's hole to hole, it's probably takes a 92mm fan since fans are measured edge to edge.

The spacing is hole to hole. There is no fan cage or fan. Just a grill that looks like it's made for a exhaust fan. You'd think HP would spend and extra dollar or two to put a chassis fan inside. Don't ever buy an HP computer.
