The Stereo mod has rekindled an idea I had a few weeks ago. My 5.1 RCA receiver took a dump so I replaced it with a comparable Yamaha 6.1 unit. Rather that throw the RCA piece away I've decided to mod it into computer. I'm taking pics as I go and I'll share them when I get it all worked out. The goal is to create a functional AMD M-ATX computer while retaining the original look of the stereo receiver. Goal number 2 is to tie it in to my entertainment system as a mass storage/playback device for my music collection! Thinking of using the TV as a monitor when needed and using the sound output as an AUX input on the Yamaha unit. Will no doubt need a wireless keyboard and mouse for operation. Should be fun.
