Hal has remarked Plexiglass cases are a pain to put together because of the intricate attention to detail needed to make it look right, i.e. hiding cables etc. He also said they tend to get dirt in areas impossible to reach without disassembly. Plexiglass also scratches pretty easily, over time parts of the case would wind up looking cloudy.
