I thought this screen was good for gaming - one of my friends uses it for Doom 3 and tbh I can't notice any ghosting. I don't know what type of panel it is though...
|
That is a PVA panel, and you should see some ghosting. Sure the 3" long trails don't appear always, but most of the time at fast movements you get the impression of "double pictures". Never seen those ?
A friend of mine has a 25ms MVA panel, and I compared it to my 50ms TN. My 50ms TN was the better performer.

edit: I believe the LG L1940P is also IPS, so you can add that to your 'to look for' list

It's MVA.

And she can do that ? That's sad. You should be in control of your money, and no-one else.

She feaked at the $500 price tag on most of the monitors.

So ? Let hear freak out. It's for you, anyway.
You could also have looked at 17" TFTs. I mean, TFTs are not like CRTs, they display the whole area, whereas CRTs do not. A 19" CRT has a visible area of about 17.4", so the 19" TFT is noticeably bigger, and a 17" TFT would have been equal to the 19" CRT you had.
That'd have been an alternative without the $500.

I went with the HYUNDAI|19" L90D+ at $379. I will give a review once it comes in!

Well. . . good luck, then. . .
