morris - RASPPoE is indeed outstanding - but Blankman already has a router to do this and it will not work with a router. It's designed to be used instead of the godawful Enternet software to connect a single machine.
Blankman - do you have the latest firmware in that Linksys? I know the earlier versions had a lot of problems with PPPoE.
My recommended setup for a Linksys is this - for the LAN side - enable the DHCP server. Set your clients to obtain IP automatically, use DHCP, and put the router's IP in (default is 192.168.1.1) for the gateway IP address. Enable DNS, use the computer name for the host name, leave the domain blank, and add the router's IP for the DNS IP address. Set the IE preferences to never dial a connection, and in LAN settings, uncheck all boxes having anything to do with a proxy.
You DID completely uninstall the Enternet (or whatever - Winpoet, Connection Manager - )software before hooking up the router, right?
