Thanks for the help. I bought Free Bsd so I could teach myself Linux. I am currently downloading BeOs5 personal edition to see if I like it or not. I would really like to learn linux BeOs is not linux but it might might be fun to play with. What linux is a good start for the newbie. also I would like to find a web site that has linux exercises that would take you step by step, something like 1.make a folder (from the command line) 2. create a text file to save in the folder 3.find the text file in Xwindows. Is there any thing like that ?
