It's okay I've worked it out, it wasn't a screensaver but an actual program that runs in the root window called Xsnow, I think it's really cool and you guys should try it out, don't know what the download link is, but do a search on Xsnow.
One question, what would the shell script code be to make the program run at logon as a user and not root? at the moment I need to navigate to the directory where the executable file is and click on it there, but I want it to start automatically any ideas? thanks
P.s you might need the sgimath.h file to make xsnow work, luckily someone has kindly provided it on the board. Bye.
