Heineken straight from the brewery is far far better than the export gunk, as is the story with Guinness. The further from the brewery, the worse it gets. KiwiPCman, you drink Vic Bitter?? You know what

I drink it too, I like it. And beer isn't an acquired taste for me... I either like it or I don't, if I don't I won't drink it. I agree that there's no point acquiring a taste for the point of it. When I was in the UK I made a beer diary, I made a point of travelling to as many different pubs to sample all their beers... a lot were gopping, but some were luverly jubbly. I like Fullers in the UK as well.
