Thanks for your reply Hobey19. Unfortunately too many things on my mind and I failed to mention that even though the laptop is wireless as well, that is another issue we have with our network, transferring large files is a task that can take several hours instead of minutes. Assuming it doesn't lose connection between the two before a transfer is finished. Which is why she wants to do a direct connection between the two. We have a wireless g network for all the good it seems to do sometimes. Once again a DOH! on my part
