Seems to me the chipset drivers that come with a new motherboard are not OS specific. I believe they are only hardware specific. That would mean you'd still be better off with the Gateway chipset drivers (assuming they are available) than with the Via drivers. I'm not positive tho so see if someone else knows for sure. Don't want to give ya bad info.
