If you are simply trying to increase range to wireless devices, the range extender in repeater mode is a better bet, as long as you have a compatible router/access point.

Well I think I get it now, in my case that does that mean that the G800AP doesn't need to be connected by cable to the wireless router? It just picks up the wireless signal and then repeats it? Thanks.
