I believe the Radeon X800 consumes far less power as compared to the other cards in its range (6800, 6600GT, X800 Pro, etc) - it only requires the standard power provided by the PCI-Express slot with no supplemental power.

OK by the way you guys are reacting to my suggestion it seems that I'm overkilling... I realized if i bought this video card (the X800) I would be spending more on it than my processor (AMD Athlon 64 3200+). Is that foolish? Whats a notch below the X800?

Nope. I spent 170 USD on a Pentium 4 2.8C and 200 USD on a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Wouldn't have done any different.
