glc, I have done all that still to no avail, but I will do again, I think the key here is "THE TOUCHPAD DRIVER"..I don't believe that driver is on this computer, I'm pretty sure is it not one of those I listed in my first post, so I am searching for that driver..
Jenni, This laptop is a CTX EzBook and I finally found a web site with some information about midnight, I will continue my search today, I do think I am having a driver problem, the generic PS/2 mouse port driver does not work, tho I know the small PS/2 port is working because the external keyboard works fine there..
again Thank you both for all your help
I borrowed this laptop to try before buying, but think I'll pass on the buying!
