I'd also like to second the recommendation for linuxquestions.org. A very helpful site.
Linuxprinting.org is one of the best sites for learning how to set up CUPS printing, finding Linux compatible printers, and Linux drivers for printers that there is. It's a very valuable site.
I haven't seen a link to this site either. It's a large help forum and Linux news site with about 65,000 users. It's called
JustLinux.

Linoleum has links to information on just about any programming language used in Linux that you can think of and has some tuturials dedicated to learning Linux programming.
