I can personally vouch for the 5L/6L Multi-sheet-feed fix kit from fixyourownprinter. My wife's 5L had the problem, and after installing the new parts, it works perfectly. The video guide that he supplies is a big help. The self-repair is not difficult, but there are numerous latches, clips, pins, springs, and screws that you need to contend with, and the guide explains all of this.
